You are sent by the govrement a letter to join jury dutey. You must report and they will interview you to see if you are fit for the role. If the attorney (during the questioning of the Jury) finds that you aren't fit for the case or you may have already sided they may excuse you using rules set by law. The panel is mutally agreed by all parties in the case.
