The signal fire
This is the fire that is used to signal The passing by ships and planes. It is there connection to the modern world. When hope is lost to get back to it the fire goes out. This best represents Ralph.
The Beast (AKA the beastie)
The beast (or beastie) is the true human instict or in other words the bad side of humans. Not literarlly but the beast may not even be real. Sure Sam and Eric saw it and so did the little kids (littleuns) but it may actually be something else. In the pig hunting chapter about a week after the bos arrive at the island Jack is hunting (as usual) and he mentions like he feels somthing is watching him. The beastie? Or perhapes something else... It also may be his fellow hunters who loyaly follow behind him. But then there is something else, the human instict to kill. Maybe he feels like he is turn uncivilized and turning wild! Who knows well only find out later on in the book.
Piggies Glasses
The glasses in general represent the intellectual side of the island. Once broken that means that the island no longer respects the intellectaulism and science and basically the order.
The Conch
The Conch is Ralphs main representation. He is the one who blows it to call meetings. It is also the sign of order. One forgotten or broken the order is lost and leadership is lost. It is important for them to remember these things other wise the kids may fall into the trap of human instict at it's worst.
The Huts
These mostly represent there shelter. Almost like its the only thing that keeps the beastie away from them. When the shelter falls the beastie is free to get them.
Jacks spear
This represents the desperation that the boys are going through. The spear is used to kill the pig which they so desperately seek. The spear is also another simbol of jack. Like the logo for the vicious nature of humans.
