What are the qualifications for serving on a jury?

No criminal record. You also must pass a questioning about your life or any possible connections with the crime that you are supposed to be a jury on. You must be a US citizen. You must be adult age.

What are the basic details of being a juror?



You are sent by the govrement a letter to join jury dutey. You must report and they will interview you to see if you are fit for the role. You can't talk about th crime outside of the court house so you don't gain unfair opinions before you are presented evidence or given a fair trial. You wint be required to serve on a jury for atleast another 12 months. You don't need any proir knolage or special training to be a juror. There are three stages for the jury... Jury selection, the trial stage and the jury deliberation. The judge will give you any guidence needed.

How might you be excused from jury dutey?

If the attorney (during the questioning of the Jury) finds that you aren't fit for the case or you may have already sided they may excuse you using rules set by law. The panel is mutally agreed by all parties in the case.


How is a Jury selected?

Starts with you promising to be truthful.

Then the judge tells the claims and charges being made.

What are a juries duty during trial?

To be open minded and accept evidence. Also to not discuss the case outside of the courtroom, to someone who may be linked to the case or may know about it. You cant investgate the case by going to the crimescene or research your self.
